Danica Rosé Wine
Premium French Rosé Wine
Danica Patrick, world-renowned retired race car driver and entrepreneur, has announced her new Danica Rosé Wine from Provence, France. Patrick has teamed up with Nechio Novak private equity group on the product, which is composed of former Budweiser executive Rick Nechio and successful multi-business owner and entrepreneur Damian Novak.
Danica selected Provence because it is the oldest winemaking region in France, where rosé is a specialty and a long-standing way of life. The region is perfectly suited to make rose thanks to the climate, terroir and grape varietals perfectly suited for rosé wine. For this release, Danica collaborated with the Margnat family, whose wine making traditions dates back to 1895 and spans four generations.
Danica Rosé wine comes in an elegant custom glass bottle that pays homage to the blends’ French origin. Danica Rosé is now available online and at select retailers in California, Florida, and New York. The brand is slated to expand into retail stores nationwide in 2021.
Danica Patrick’s path to appreciating wine came from her racing days in England, where she discovered her love of wine. As her world travels took her to Asia, Australia, Europe, New Zealand and South Africa, her passion for wine led her to purchase a vineyard in Napa Valley and started her own wine brand, Somnium. Danica Rosé is just the latest expression of this passion. “My appreciation for wine and the winemaking process has grown tremendously over the past 15 years. The Danica Rosé is the type of French rosé that I enjoy drinking year-round, it is crisp and light with well-balanced acidity.”
To launch her new wine, Danica Patrick has partnered with Omaze for a national, online campaign beginning on June 30th, that supports Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization providing educational scholarships to the children and spouses of our fallen and disabled service members.

2001 Bond Melbury
Bond is an Oakville, California, winery that makes widely acclaimed single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons based on an unusual business model. Founded in the late 1990s by H. William Harlan, who in 1984 founded Harlan Estate, Bond uses grapes from five vineyards that Harlan does not own. The winery refers to its offerings as “a portfolio of wines that are diverse in their geographic representation…” The name Bond was selected to highlight the “bond” between Harlan, his winemaking team, which includes his longtime associate Robert Levy, director of winegrowing, and the independent growers who supply the grapes. Each of the “grand crus,” as Harlan calls his Bond wines, has been given a proprietary name, such as Vecina and Melbury, meaning that although the goal is to make Cabernet Sauvignons using only single vineyard grapes, Bond reserves the right to blend if necessary. Besides the “grand crus” Bond makes Matriarch, a second wine. The vineyards Bond leases are 7 to 10 acres each.
Ao Yun
A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, this is a bold, dramatic and compelling debut wine from winemaker Maxence Dulou. Particularly impressive is the strong sense and imprint of place which is partially revealed by its saturated colour, exquisite ripeness, silky, grainy tannins and exciting freshness. The palate also provides sweet black and red cherry fruit overlaid with cool graphite, camphor as well as notes of juniper, pepper and cumin. Most surprising of all is the 15.1% alcohol which is both balanced and well hidden in the texture and freshness. It’s difficult to predict how long the wine will age and develop. But all the elements are there for a long and happy life.

Cheteau Lafite Rothschild

Baron Eric de Rothschild
In 1815, Guillaume Lawton said of Château Lafite, “I consider it to be the the most elegant and delicate, with the finest substance of the three (Premier Crus). The location of its vines is one of the finest in the Médoc”. In 1855 the Château was ranked as a Premier Grand Cru in the famous classification that was prepared for the Universal Exhibition of that year.
